The CW has released a San Diego Comic-Con synopsis. While it does seem a bit vague on actual plot details, it teases that the fate of each character who got left stranded on Lian Yu will be revealed over the course of the premiere. You can check it out below:

“With the future of the team left hanging in the balance, Arrow gave new definition to the phrase “blowing up the show.” The emotional showdown between Oliver Queen and Adrian Chase was the perfect conclusion to a stellar fifth season of The CW’s gritty DC Super Hero series. Now, the focus shifts to uncovering the fate of each and every member of Team Arrow. Could anyone have possibly survived an island-wide explosion, or has the book closed on them, as it has on Oliver’s five-year flashback story? Returning to San Diego Comic-Con for a sixth consecutive year, cast members Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Paul Blackthorne, Katie Cassidy, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Rick Gonzalez and producers will be on-hand for an eye-opening conversation about the upcoming season.”

Arrow‘s S.D.C.C. panel, is scheduled for 5:50-6:30 PM PST on Saturday, July 22nd.

Arrow Season 6: Stephen Amell Wants A More Comic Accurate Arrow

While speaking at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in Portland over the weekend, Amell said he wants the Green Arrow to become more socially conscious like his DC Comics counterpart.

“I’ve said that it’s very, very important that if Oliver doesn’t take away lessons from Season 5 and doesn’t keep doing the things that have led to this catastrophic event, the character stops being interesting to me,” Amell said. “So I hope that part of that, in Season 6 and if we have seasons beyond that, I hope that part of that is we get back to a lot of the tenets that people recognize from the comics. And that of course is humor and a socially conscious, slightly liberal superhero.”

“The comics version, he has some really interesting qualities that make him unique, and I hope we get to explore more of those,” Amell said.

Arrow’s sixth season debuts on The CW on Thursday, October 12 at 9 pm ET.

Stephen Amell shared a first look sneak peek for Season 6 with an image of the 6.01 script cover that has the title greened out. We’ll keep you all updated when the title is finally revealed. In the meantime, check out the information thats been released so far.

Look what just landed in my inbox!!

The things we know so far…

  1. Stephen Amell and the rest of the “Arrow” cast will likely be filming another flashback to kick off the new season.
  • Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim, teased last month that the first episode of season 6 will open with a flashback. When asked whether that means fans will once again be transported to the island, Guggenheim said; “If you take me literally at my word, yes, back to the island.”

2.  Season 6 of the CW Network’s superhero saga will have a brand-new theme, which was revealed at the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest back in May.

  • “The theme of season 5 was legacy,” Amell said at the panel. “From what I understand, the theme of season 6 is family.”

If those tidbits are not enough to keep you going until Arrow returns in October, don’t worry. When and if the show does indeed start filming again in early July. Hopefully that means the stars will share plenty of sneak peeks from the set as what’s to come!
